As the All China Games 2013 approach, Beijing GAA mens team and Beijing Bombers participated in an exhibition match at Dulwich, Beijing.

The day comprised of 2 matches, the first being compromise rules and the second GAA. After last years dominance by the Bombers, the GAA boys put in some great perfomances to come out ontop in both matches this year. The run out should benefit both teams at the All China Games next weekend.

Many thanks to the support shown on the day for both clubs as it was a great turnout by everyone.

It was a both a special and momentous event for Mr. John Traynor and Mr. Colm O’ Connell as they attended their very first Céilî EVER – congratulations lads.

Also thanks to John Traynor for his efforts in decorating our ‘local hall’ for the afternoon!!

A professional Irish dancer from Poland called Dominika Cedro came and showed us what ‘real’ Irish dancing looked like – Riverdance style!

Emma Leonard and Mark Godfrey did a mighty rendition of shoe the donkey – not as good a performance has been seen since the 1985 Boyle, Co Roscommon competitions!!

Thanks to Ian Lahiffe for making a nice circle with chairs for The Stacks of Barley and of course always bringing that old school Galway charm with him!

Well done to Xiao Xiao and Joey on their impressive efforts for first timers!

When we thought it was more or less over, in came a crew of Celtic lads who demands were that they wanted to learn a dance since they made the effort to come (terms and conditions of these demands were led by Mr. Sean Ayrs) The Siege of Ennis ensued and comments over fitness were made!

Thanks to members of Celtic FC who came along and keep the Céilí going!!!

Thanks to Caoimhe O’Regan for volunteering to demonstrate a number of dances and Josephine also known as ‘Killala Jo’ who had without doubt the best ‘aon, dó, trí’ of the afternoon!

WELL DONE TO YOU ALL – THANKS FOR SUPPORTING OUR EVENT AND

             HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY
